Course Programme

A module by module view of the complete curriculum

Five video modules take you through the complete content transformation cycle, from securely receiving a client's material to professionally delivering the finished files.

Receiving source material and checking rights

Before you start work on any content, you need to know exactly what you are dealing with. This module teaches you how to receive files from clients securely and how to check the licences and copyright attached to audio and text content.

By the end of this module, you will be able to

  • Build your own checklist for receiving materials
  • Ask clients for the right permissions with confidence
  • Understand the basics of copyright in a podcasting context
01

Transcription and content mapping

You discover how AI tools let you turn a recording into text quickly, then how to extract the key themes, quotes and passages worth reworking.

By the end of this module, you will be able to

  • Run an efficient workflow using transcription tools
  • Match an episode's content to suitable output formats
  • Practise the process on licensed test recordings
02

Episode notes, summaries and articles

This is the heart of the course. You learn to produce three essential types of content: episode notes, concise summaries and articles based on the source material, all while staying fully faithful to the original.

By the end of this module, you will be able to

  • Apply a proven structure for writing good episode notes
  • Develop your own format for episode summaries
  • Write derivative articles without adding your own assumptions
03

Quality control and source attribution

Before content is delivered to a client, every quote, link and reference to external material needs to be checked. This module teaches you a systematic quality control process that protects both you and your clients.

By the end of this module, you will be able to

  • Build your own quality control checklist for every job
  • Verify quotes and attributions with confidence
  • Understand how to avoid content rights issues
04

Batch planning and delivering materials

An effective content repurposing service needs more than good writing. It also needs rigorous organisation. The final module teaches you to plan your work in organised batches and to deliver the finished content to the client for approval in a professional way.

By the end of this module, you will be able to

  • Build your own system for tracking and organising jobs
  • Structure content batches for a client with confidence
  • Define the scope of the service, the approval cycle and the delivery steps
